These terms set out what you can expect from The Companion and what we ask of you. We’ve kept them short and human. By creating an account or using the product, you agree to them.

What The Companion is
The Companion is a private AI whole-life thinking partner for women over 40. It offers a calm space to think out loud, journal, and return to your own voice. The brand name shown here is a placeholder and may change.
Not a substitute for professional help
The Companion is not therapy, medical care, legal or financial advice, or a crisis service, and it is not a replacement for a qualified professional. It doesn’t diagnose or treat. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or someone you trust right away. Our privacy & safety page explains how the safety layer works.
Using the product responsibly
We ask that you:
- Are old enough to form a binding agreement (18+), and use your own account.
- Keep your login details to yourself — you’re responsible for activity on your account.
- Don’t use The Companion to harm others, break the law, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or overload the service.
- Understand that responses are AI-generated and may sometimes be wrong or incomplete — use your own judgement, and seek a professional for decisions that matter.
Your content is yours
You keep ownership of everything you write. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the service for you — for example, storing your reflections and sending your messages to an AI provider to generate a response. How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep The Companion available and dependable, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, pause or retire features over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we’ll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you within the product.
No warranty & limits of liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Companion is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those rights, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
